What Is Karma in Traditional Shamanism

The Law of Karma

Traditional  Shamans know that all of creation was created

from the very Breath of Creator. In the beginning was the

word. A spoken word , spoken with breath. Spoken with the

breath of Creator, the very Essence of Creator. So all

things are  considered Divine in Essence and manifest into

physical form. All four elements are the very Essence of

Creator . So everything created from those four elements

of fire water air and earth are manifested forms of the

very Essence of Creator. So metal objects and trees and

chairs and buses and pencils are all created of the very

Essence of Creator. And The Essence of Creator is not

dead, it is not inert, it is not lifeless. Do you think

that Creator would use Creators’ own Essence to create

something and then leave it lying there dead? Not at all!

So everything created of the four elements which are the

breath of Creator are alive, living, sentient, thinking,

feeling , having a life experience of their own here with

us. And these sentient beings in their millions of

manifest forms become manifest because Creator wants to

give us a physical life experience to recognize Creator

more fully. So that we can recognize the Essence of

Creator in that chair, in that tree, in that stone, all

those manifest forms of the very Essence of Creator. And

these manifest forms around us that Creator created, are

here to nurture us and support us and protect us and

nourish us and even pleasure us! And they do so willingly

because they are happy to be manifesting the intention of

Creator for us! Isn’t it a shame that we cannot be happy

doing our mission here on earth as well as that stone is

or that tree is or that cow is? The reason we don’t is

because we have egos and that stone does not have an ego

separating it from Creator.

Earth Mother, with all her creatures and things is

considered sacred to the Traditional Shaman. With this

understanding you can see that it would be impossible to

live without interfacing and affecting other living

sentient beings around you. Every action, every word  you

speak has some consequence on the entire universe.

Although it is impossible to  live in this world without

affecting someone or something, the Traditional Shaman

walks this path while trying not to create unnecessary

infringements on the other Sentient beings that Creator

created and put here around us.

This is a universal law of non infringement. It says that

everything you do has a consequence. Some people call this

karma, everything you do produces good karma or bad karma

depending on whether your thought, word or act benefits

the sentient beings around you or infringes upon their own

free will and harms them. If you don’t take responsibility

for the consequences of your thoughts word and actions

then fate steps in and does it for you without any

kindness or love or feeling of any kind. Fate then takes

over and you are given back the results of your choices to

the same degree as you affected the world around you. Fate

will simply bring back to you what you sent out. And so it

is not God who punishes you , it is not bad luck that

causes your misfortune. It is not other people who cause

you to be angry or frustrated. It is the consequences of

what you have already put out into the world coming back

to you  to the same degree that you have created yourself.

There is also a beautiful teaching in this idea that

divine retribution is the interaction between destiny,

fate and consequence and that is that every single thing

you do to improve yourself, to grow spiritually, to raise

yourself to a higher level of awareness and connection

with the Essence of Creator personally, also raises up the

entire universe to the same degree! So everything you do

to make yourself a better person also makes this world a

better place for all of us! And this is what a true healer

is. Someone who works on healing him or herself knowing

that every improvement he or she makes within oneself

helps to heal everyone else. If you want to call yourself

a healer, this is what to do. It’s not about healing

others. It’s about healing yourself as the universal law

says: as within, so without, as above, so below. The law

of karma.

Be a Lake

Be A Lake  (Source Unknown)

The old Master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it.
"How does it taste?" the Masterasked.
"Awful," spat the apprentice

The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake.

The two walked in silence to the nearby lake
and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake,
the old man said, "Now drink from the lake

As the water dripped down the young man's chin, the Master asked,
"How does it taste?"
"Good!" remarked the apprentice.
"Do you taste the salt?"  asked the Master.
"No," said the young man.

The Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said,
"The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less.
The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same.
But the amount we taste the 'pain'
depends on the container we put it into.
So when you are in pain, the
only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things .....

Stop being a glass.

Day 103 Who Is Shaman Maggie?

Her life is the very course of nature: her death, the transformation of things. In quietude she coils up with the yin, in movement, she opens up with the yang. Her vital spirits are imbued with an endless peace, she does not lose herself in things and yet the world spontaneously submits to her. By non being this sage responds to things and necessarily penetrates into the laws of existence, by her emptiness she receives the plenitude and necessarily fathoms its rules. Nothing is distant from her, nothing is close to her.

She is close to Tao and touches Te, she is not enticed by good fortune, nor does she hasten into misfortune, her hun and p’o remain  in their dwelling places and her vital spirits hold on to the root. Life and death make no difference to her, that is why she is called supremely spiritual ( shen).

She is full as if empty. She knows Grand simplicity and without ado returns to the potential not yet manifested. She incorporates the Root, Embraces the divine and frolics between heaven and earth as a child. Radiant she roams beyond the dust and impurities, and goes higher and yon in aimless wandering. Immense and vast. Clever deceits do not dwell in her heart. Also, life and death are of equal greatness and so she does not distinguish between them. Although Heaven and Earth protect and nourish her, she is not held in the embrace. She experiences Non-failure and does not get mixed up with things. She perceives the disorder of things, but remains steadfast in her Origin.

Her heart and will are concentrated within, penetrating and universal, she is paired with the One. Without learning, she knows. Without looking, she sees, without acting, she achieves, without any effort she discerns. She responds impulsively, she moves when solicited, without willing, she goes as a light shines or like a lightning flash.

Life and death are for her all a part of the same transformation, the ten thousand things are only a single entity. Her essence united with the Root of Great Purity, she takes her pleasure within the confines of the obscure Empire. She does not rush her spirit.. She reverses the end and the beginning and ignores her limitations.

She rests in a place without corners or bends, she wanders and takes pleasure in a land without trace or form. She is there, but without appearance. She dwells, but in no places, moving she has no form, motionless she has no body.

Beginning and end form a circle and no one can know its ruling principle. That is why the her vital spirits are able to rise up to the Tao -  the place where she takes her leisure.

This is Shaman Maggie.

Day 102 - From a Student of Shaman Elder Maggie to you

i have been a student of shaman elder maggie's now for over 2 years.  i would say that what i've learned is that however my practice is going, as long as i'm doing my best and emailing shaman maggie the answers to her questions and everything i'm going through, plus practicing the lessons throughout my day, i have been in the right place at the right time.  i have thought i was 'falling behind' or 'not getting it' in the past and i still do that sometimes still to this day, but i remember again and again that she has told me that this is not a school course where you will 'get it' and 'get the grade' and i remember that when i feel i am doing the same thing again and again, sometimes without what i think is 'success', but guess what? i find out later that it was teaching me a lesson that i wanted to learn that will help me walk this path.
just the other day, shaman elder maggie told me to review lesson 1 of the 101 course again! lol... why?  because i asked a silly question that i should certainly by now have known the answer to.. you know what i did? i joyfully read the lesson again and laughed at myself and found joy in reading it again with new eyes!  i've learned to surrender and trust in her guidance and the teachings and release control about how i think it 'should go' or what 'moving forward is' vs. 'moving backward'... if i think about my practice walking this path with shaman maggie and how i've felt most of the time... i would say i've mostly felt like i'm moving backwards and that's how i've learned so much about myself and healed myself and supported others too... by going backwards ALOT!  i don't know if this helps reassure you at all, but it will at least let you know  you are not alone.
one more thing, the way i explain my practice walking this path with shaman elder maggie is like the karate kid in the movie where he wants to learn karate so mr.miyagi tells him to wax the car, then he waxes the car and thinks he'll get to learn karate next, but then mr.miyagi says sand the floor, and he sands the floor and can't wait until he's done so he can learn karate, then mr.miyagi says paint the fence, and he's a little frustrated and mad at first because he doesn't want to wax cars, or sand the floor or paint the fence, he wants to learn karate already!!... but what happens?  in the end, he realized he was learning karate all along... this is my experience of walking the path of shamanism learning how to practice in the way that shaman elder maggie's grandmother taught her... sometimes it feels like you 'just want to get on to the next lesson and learn shamanism'... but when you look back on everything you've done, practiced, learned, tried, and failed, you have a shamanic experience that you can bring into your life... and that is the best I can say to myself, you and others walking this path... and that's also how i share with people i my life who don't understand what i'm doing and why I email and talk about shaman elder maggie so much... i share with them the story about the karate kid and i say... i am the karate kid and shaman elder maggie is like mr.miyagi and they usually get it and i do too... at least for a moment. - Kristine Castro

Day 101 From a Student

A Student Writes: "I am so honored beyond belief as to who you are for me, my family and everything and I am clear that I cannot even imagine all the miracles you are causing.  I see them every day.  My husband is so thankful for you in our life too.  He had a great conversation with his younger son yesterday and were clear it was you who helped with that.  Thank YOU.  Things are getting better all around, both of them seem happy and healthy and taking care of themselves and responsible and they both seem clear.  Thank YOU.  Again, youre making me cry.  My only issue today was that I noticed my brain trying to figure out how to repay you my husband says not to do that and just receive.  He is very wise. its receiving of your love and Creators love for me that makes me cry tears of gratitude, freedom and joy". - Kristine Castro

Day 100 Learning

"It does not matter if you have not yet started to learn something. When you have started, however, you must not stop until you really know it. It does not matter if you have not yet asked questions, but when you begin, you must not stop until the questions have been answered. It does not matter if you have not yet started to think carefully, but when you do, stop only when you have reached a conclusion. It does not matter if you have not yet started to discern something, but when you have, you must not stop until you are clear. It does not matter if you have not yet started to practice something, but when you do, you must diligently put it into practice."

This is my last day of my commitment to post a teaching each day for 100 days. If I can keep this commitment I can keep any commitment. I have proven my trustworthiness and my abilities to you. Now you can learn the 20 tools and skills that I can and will teach you in my course at www.shamanelder.com to make your life all that it CAN BE! Nothing is stopping you but your own fear of change. But without change how can things get even better?

Day 99: Your Healing

You have no idea of the healing that is being conducted through me by God to you and your family. You have no full concept that I have come to this world to this lifetime to bring miracles into the world for you and your family right now as I was trained all my life to do. You have no concept that I deliberately intended to bring God’s miracles to you at this time in the universe of all the eons of time that I could choose to be here. I will continue to do so. For you – because I love you. Just ask me.

Day 98 What Is Enlightenment

“When it's the middle of the night,
and the wind is screaming through the rigging at 45 knots,
and the boat is heeled thirty degrees,
and the seas are running high against you,
and water is breaking on deck...,
and you're all alone...,
and there is white water and black death on the lee shore
and everything is confusion,
 and noise,
and icy fear that
approaches absolute terror
and you feel that the possibility of death is no longer remote,
but very real...,

Then, you had best know what you are doing.
Hope, will not take you off of that lee shore.”

Spiritual Enlightenment is
the ultimate goal of every spiritual practice and of the path of Shamanism.

The Yaqui Shamans were seeking a way to thwart the God that abused
them and that way was enlightenment.

The Egyptian Shaman was seeking immortality and the way to
immortality was enlightenment.

Every culture, philosophy and religion has pronounced this awakened state of ultimate consciousness with Presence by some name.
Enlightenment
by definition
is “shifting our center of personal identity from conditioned
mind to unveiled soul.”
How can you know if
You are enlightened?

If you have to ask, you are not enlightened.

Day 97 An Exercise for You to Try

How are you doing today? Ready for a shamanic visualization exercise?
Try this little exercise
and then write your answers to the questions in your email reply to
shaman@shamanelder.com
 Diagnosis One. Above and Below
First: Sit down. Find room enough to draw a circle around yourself out
the length of your arms. So you are probably sitting on the ground.
2. Take a deep breath. Take several. Calm yourself and balance yourself.
 3. Think of one color. Quick! Put that color inside your circle. What
 color is it?
4. Think of one bird that most represents you. The bird you most like or
identify with. Imagine that bird flying around your head in this circle.
 What bird is it?
 5. Imagine one animal you have always identified with. Imagine him
standing beside you. What animal is it?
 6. Imagine one plant that you have always liked. See a whole field of
this plant growing all around you. You are sitting in a field of your
favorite flowers. What flowers are these?
How do you feel right now? Breathe. Just take this in and breathe.
 Center yourself.
OK now look again at the bird flying around over your head. Invite this bird into your heart. Does it come in easily or does it hesitate? Is it happy
or sad? What emotion does the bird have?
Now look at the animal standing beside you. Invite this animal into your heart. Does it come in with joy, anger, does it hesitate, does it refuse? What emotion does it have?
Is it happy or sad or angry? Does it say anything to you?
Now look at the field of flowers. Are they well and growing great? Just
budding? Withering? How do they feel emotionally?  Look at their roots?
Are they long and strong or weak?

Now lie back in the field of flowers. Actually lie down for this moment
on  the place you have been sitting. Just stretch out for a moment and
visualize that field of flowers all around you. No matter whether they
look good or bad, thriving or wilting. Just be with them for a minute.
How do they make you feel?
When you are ready this exercise is done. Please send me your answers to shaman@shamanelder.com.
We have more exercises like this in the Shaman Apprenticeship 101 course. If you are not already a student you can sign up today by going to www.shamanelder.com You will have your first lesson within 48 hours!

Day 96 The End of The World

I hate to tell you but the end of the world will never get here. It never has. One thing that never changes is the change inherent in every created thing., no matter whether it is good change or bad change, and that is just based on somebody p[perspective anyway. Since change is a constant in this reality, the every moment is a beginning and an ending. Everything travels on a  circle. Where do you measure the start of a circle?

We just keep going on this linear circle we have named time. It never begins and it never ends and we never begin and we never end. That’s right. We are eternal spiritual begins just having  a short physical life experience here in this body, this temporary vehicle. But did you think you went somewhere else when this body wears out and quits? This life experience is only one of many states of being. When you leave your body you are experiencing another state of being. We are eternally experiencing an unknown number of states of being.

So where are we going? We are not going anywhere at all. Its like being shot off into space in a space capsule. Once launched , there is no way  out. So you have a choice here. You can sit there and worry and feel bad or you can enjoy the adventure. I recommend the Shaman’s Way – enjoy this moment now!

Day 95 The Eyes Have It

In my native tradition there are varying levels of skills or abilities for each Shaman. But every shaman has tarni which are like mantras or special words  or chants that contain healing power or are words which call in the power of helper spirits. A helper spirit may be a tree or a stone or a bird or something that is not manifested physically here but is in allegiance already with that Shaman from a long ongoing relationship. A Shaman apprentice is often given a special stick or staff to carry early in his or her education and it becomes the Shaman's horse or reindeer in the non manifested reality. It is taken care of and a special relationship is formed with that staff. The staff can then help the Shaman in healing work in later years. The Shaman has just one staff all her life and is usually buried with this staff. To gain possession of a dead Shaman's staff is believed to cause the death of the possessor.

Ab is the word used to explain the power of the Shaman as a healer.

Huch refers to the Shaman's spiritual strength.

Tsog describes the shaman's psychic abiltiies or chi force.

Because the Shaman's tsog is sometimes seen as fire or lightning or sparks from that Shaman's eyes, it is considered disrespectful and even dangerous to look a Shaman in the eyes, directly. The eyes are considered a window to ones soul. The Shaman can often diagnose soul loss by looking into a person's eyes. And evil can be seen there and attach itself to someone from there, too. It is believed by my people, possible for an evil person to take your soul from you by looking into your eyes. Some people steal the energy of other people by looking into their eyes. So I was taught to be very careful about whose eyes I made contact with, to be sure it was someone good and trustworthy. We also see this same belief in Native American traditions. You might want to be careful about who you make eye contact with for these very good reasons.  You just learned why people bow their heads when in the presence of power!

Day 94 How to Make a Difference

The best way to make a difference in this world is to work on perfecting yourself. If you can create a strong beautiful relationship with Creator within yourself, that relationship will glow within you and will inspire others to seek their own connection to Creator without you having to say anything at all. Words are cheap. I see you trying to make a difference in this world for others but the real work is right there inside yourself. It’s not about leading other people with words or telling other people what they should do. Its right inside your own heart, your own life, your own example. The fourth truth of shamanism says It is what you do that defines you. Its not being a leader for others. It being the leader for your own life. It’s your example as someone who has done the work to perfect her own spiritual body that inspires others to see that they too can have this in their own lives. Then when they see its possible by your simple example, living and working among them, doing some ordinary job where people can be around you and see you like a clerk in a store or a customer service rep,  that they can allow themselves to accept this and they will receive it directly from Creator instantly. Creator doesn’t need you to lead people. Creator needs you to do the work to heal your own self and by doing that you become an example in this world for those who do not believe that they can be healed.

Day 93 Get Out of Your Way

To get your life, give your life away. Give it to the higher intelligence, the greater mind, the larger you. Stand out of your own way. Open to intelligence that's beyond your comprehension.

As a leaf grows its complex form without consciousness, you grow and prosper in your season. You don't need to make yourself grow. You don't need to control your life.

Have faith in a greater power. Look at nature. The intelligence of creation is far beyond the comprehension of any of its beings. There's no need for beings to be aware of their own creation.

Your conscious mind is meant for something else. The ego isn't evil. It's just misdirected. Stand out of your own way. Watch and learn. Be prepared to be amazed.

Day 92 Where Are You?

Do you have a memory of a better place or time? Do you really think there was a better time than this time or a better place than this place?

No time is better than now. No place is better than here. You can dream of times and places from long ago and imagine that they're better. They're only better in your imagination. You forget what you want to forget and remember what you want to remember. It was never that good. It was never that bad. It was like now, good and bad, depending on how you want to imagine it.

This time and place has infinite depth, because your imagination has infinite depth. What exists is like raw material for your imagination. You fill in the blanks. You paint the picture of your experience whatever colors you like. You choose good or bad according to your needs. Sometimes you need a bad experience to make you feel good. Sometimes you need emptiness to have something to fill. You may need dreams to entertain yourself. You may need pathos to liberate your dreams.

What does it matter in a dream? Good or bad, the dream ends. When the dream ends you are liberated from it. The good or bad judgments end. Nothing will come from it. Nothing will remain. It disappears forever because it never existed. It leaves no reverberations.

Morning comes and a new day begins, again and again. You'll wake up when you want to wake up. You'll never fall asleep again, if that's what you want. You're free to awaken or sleep as you like.

When you dream, you're still real. You continue. Life continues. God continues. The world turns, regardless of your attention. The collective dream continues. You can join it or leave it, as you like.

It takes courage to wake up while others sleep. To be the only one awake can feel like a terrible responsibility. It's not. The dreamer is cared for, always. You don't have to do anything. Everyone is safe.

You don't need to tiptoe through the dreams of others. They'll fit you into their dream stories as they like. You're not responsible for their choices. You can be a hero and a villain at the same time. You can be a star, or you can slip by unnoticed.

You're not alone. You're surrounded by dreams and dreamers. The dreams interweave. The dreamers dance. The dream will end when it ends. Then you'll see it for what it is, nothing at all.

Listen and Be Healed!

I know that Creator does not intend for us to be without healing. For every disease known in this world, the very agents to heal it are also here among us. And it is the joy and honor of the traditional shaman to be able to find these healing agents and bring them across the bridge to this world and its people
I was looking for those healing agents that I could give to the world that would make a real difference and bring healing, wholeness, health, abundance to anyone who wanted such things. So I prayed about it and I was given the go ahead to offer specific healing chants on audio Cds to the world. I ask the client to pay for the cost to create the audio Cd and mail it to them, which is $29.95 and then I ask the client what they are willing to receive a healing from.
Late at night when I am full of prayer and balanced and happy I sit down in the recording studio and begin to relate the story of that dis-ease in the client’s life. The guides provide me with certain insights as to the cause of the clients dis-ease and I present those in a teaching to show the client why they have this struggle and how to remove it through a simple practice. Then I offer a chant that will clear out any discordance in the client’s mind and open up the crown chakra and the third eye chakra to allow healing to enter into the consciousness of the client. This chant that I do with the client together not only removes the dis-ease but opens up all the channels within the physical and etheric bodies of the client and actual physical healing can be literally felt moving and adjusting and re-aligning even the cells and bones and organs and muscles of the physical body. Clarity and serenity and even laughter and joy are the results of the meditation I offer on this audio Cd and when the Cd is over in one half hour, that client has been completely renewed in body mind and spirit.  The continued use of this audio Cd only leads to even more abundance, health, joy and ease.
Yes it is truly a miracle! And it is an honor for me to be able to offer this gift to the world. Its value is enormous. Many, many surgeries, hospitalizations, suicides, conflicts have all been averted because of clients just simply taking a half hour to listen to their own customized Cd in just the one month I have been offering this gift. I feel so humbled to be part of the great healing agenda that Creator intends upon us right now in these latter times.
I know that Creator does not intend for us to be without healing. For every disease known in this world, the very agents to heal it are also here among us. And it is the joy and honor of the traditional shaman to be able to find these healing agents and bring them across the bridge to this world and its people. These audio recordings done in my own voice are just such a healing agent. I am honored to bring them to you.

Day 90 A Message to All My Students

Becoming a Shaman in any lifetime is a pact, a promise, a contract that exists beyond time and space. Once a Shaman, Always a Shaman. You do not need an initiation because you probably already had an initiation, maybe thousands of years ago. Some of my students get to the end of the course thinking I will do some kind of initiation for them and give them some Indian name or something. No. Those of you who are taking this course because you felt a calling to it, an affinity for this path, an attraction to study Traditional Shamanism have probably been Shamans in a past life already.
You will have to practice and learn the skills and do the exercises a million times until Spirit feels that you are ready and you will have an initiation by Spirit, not by me. I am here to hold a torch for you to walk your path. I will remind you of the old ways and everything will seem strangely familiar. Your spirit guides and totems and helpers will come to you now and teach you what you have forgotten. They have prepared this course for you and asked me to walk with you and hold the torch. They will teach you and have told me what to write.
I will also tell you that you must practice, practice, practice. You are very rusty with your skills. The exercises in this course are for practice, not just one or twice but continually until you get all the meaning and all the experience that lies underneath their surface. As you do them over and over you will find other things hidden inside them that I did not talk about. Like a hunter, you must get so good with the bow and arrow, until you are the best hunter in the forest. How can you feed the village if you are not the best? This is where most of my students fall apart. They do not want to do the work.

I value you so much that I use my own life force energy, my own chi that keeps me alive, to build a net beneath you and to protect you until you get strong enough to protect yourselves. I give up my own life because I want so much to see you fulfill your life's purpose and I know that this course gives you the tools and skills to do just that! Even if you don’t remember being a Shaman in a time long ago, it’s OK! Just work with these lessons and gain these abilities to heal yourself and others in the old traditional ways. It’s a win-win situation for you and I want you to win!
Aho ( I speak my truth)

Day 89 Why Study Shamanism?

This is probably the most common question asked today. And you know why so many people ask it? Because we are brought up in a society that does not have Shamanism. Worse than that, we are brought up without community. In the old days we were raised with a strong community around us. We lived together, played together, grew up together and sometimes even died together. We had elders and doctors and teachers and medical advisors right within this strong close knit community.

Part of the work for Shaman elders would be to watch the children and find what each child was strong in. Then that gift or gifts were encouraged and the child grew into whatever came naturally to him or her. It was the community, the elders, the teachers, and the parents who realized the blessings and were happy to help the child be what he or she was meant to be in life.

Today we have no such possibility for ourselves or for our children. For the most part, we are raised to fit into a box; to learn what everyone else learns and to ignore or abandon anything that does not fit into society’s box. It doesn’t have to be this way. We have a choice. It is not too late to look inside and find those special gifts we were born with by studying Traditional Shamanism.

Each of us has one or more gifts buried somewhere inside our spirits. Can you imagine how beautiful this world would be if each of us studied and mastered the gifts we were given? Who would be left sick? Or poor?

Day 88 The Charismatic Power of The Way

When you begin to understand that everything here is the Essence of Creator and that you too are the Essence of Creator you will begin to experience a unity with all of creation both manifest and non- manifest. And in this unity that you can grow to experience, you will find you are freed from labeling, greedy passions, and “shoulds”. This opens the Way. Things begin to happen to you. You do not will them to happen, you allow the Essence of Creator to affect you and of course it will affect you in positive ways. You can become empty of ego and align in the Oneness of Creator.
When you are empty of ego you can then wander freely, with the coming and going, become fluid, become your spiritual self. You will then attain Te which is power and virtue.
Make a place inside yourself for your spirit to reside, to live, and it will come of its own will and take up residence within you.
Cease acting through the ego and begin to act through the Spirit. Let Creator instruct your every action.
Force brings the opposite of what you intend. Just allow, accept and receive.
Throw away good and evil, judgment, and stop thinking so much! Follow no path and you will attain the perfect path of Creator.
The Shaman has an internal quality called nei shang that moves her in and out of the world of time and space. She embraces the WAY, a fertile chase full of the Original Energy, the Esssence of Creator called yuan chi. She has a powerful beneficial influence on her surrounding, the charismatic power of the Way, The Path of Creator.
I have much more that I so very much want to teach you but I can only teach you what you can understand today.

Day 87 Package Bombs

So many times we make a choice based on nothing at all. We assume something or we take a chance or we talk ourselves into something or we believe what someone else says. All too often that choice is not a good choice. We choose to believe something with no basis in fact at all, with no foundation, with no real information at all. We let that thing become our reality by choosing to believe in it. It is amazing how sloppily we choose our beliefs and let those beliefs create our reality. A simple distaste for something, a quick decision about how we feel about something, an experience that we didn’t enjoy one time, basically a shot in the dark creates our reality and forms our experiences. How can we be so cavalier with our lives? Is it any wonder that people have dis- ease?

Wouldn’t it be better to not choose anything at all rather than to choose something you know nothing about? Why do we always pick up those mystery packages along our paths? Are we so dissatisfied with what we already have? Yes we are! For most of us, any other package seems more appealing then not having a package at all. We want things. We want diversions and toys and mystery trains and surprises. And what causes this? Desire, dissatisfaction with what we have. After all, what we have now is most likely the result of making choices based on nothing as well. So we go from bad choice to bad choice all our lives. No wonder we have dis-ease.

So how can we end this dis-ease and have a life that does benefit us? By choosing what we believe very carefully. We need to investigate things more thoroughly. We need to consider all choices and their ramifications before we make a choice. We need to be more conscious of what we are doing.  If we have to take days or weeks to understand a situation in order to make a good choice, then take that time because that choice is going to create your reality, maybe even for a long time to come. That package may be a bomb. How are you going to know? By perceiving it. By using your outer and inner senses to perceive that package until you do know what it is. And if you cannot figure out what it is then I suggest you don’t pick it up. Better to walk past fifty pretty packages and not take any of them rather than to pick up one bomb.
