Day 96 The End of The World

I hate to tell you but the end of the world will never get here. It never has. One thing that never changes is the change inherent in every created thing., no matter whether it is good change or bad change, and that is just based on somebody p[perspective anyway. Since change is a constant in this reality, the every moment is a beginning and an ending. Everything travels on a  circle. Where do you measure the start of a circle?

We just keep going on this linear circle we have named time. It never begins and it never ends and we never begin and we never end. That’s right. We are eternal spiritual begins just having  a short physical life experience here in this body, this temporary vehicle. But did you think you went somewhere else when this body wears out and quits? This life experience is only one of many states of being. When you leave your body you are experiencing another state of being. We are eternally experiencing an unknown number of states of being.

So where are we going? We are not going anywhere at all. Its like being shot off into space in a space capsule. Once launched , there is no way  out. So you have a choice here. You can sit there and worry and feel bad or you can enjoy the adventure. I recommend the Shaman’s Way – enjoy this moment now!

Day 92 Where Are You?

Do you have a memory of a better place or time? Do you really think there was a better time than this time or a better place than this place?

No time is better than now. No place is better than here. You can dream of times and places from long ago and imagine that they're better. They're only better in your imagination. You forget what you want to forget and remember what you want to remember. It was never that good. It was never that bad. It was like now, good and bad, depending on how you want to imagine it.

This time and place has infinite depth, because your imagination has infinite depth. What exists is like raw material for your imagination. You fill in the blanks. You paint the picture of your experience whatever colors you like. You choose good or bad according to your needs. Sometimes you need a bad experience to make you feel good. Sometimes you need emptiness to have something to fill. You may need dreams to entertain yourself. You may need pathos to liberate your dreams.

What does it matter in a dream? Good or bad, the dream ends. When the dream ends you are liberated from it. The good or bad judgments end. Nothing will come from it. Nothing will remain. It disappears forever because it never existed. It leaves no reverberations.

Morning comes and a new day begins, again and again. You'll wake up when you want to wake up. You'll never fall asleep again, if that's what you want. You're free to awaken or sleep as you like.

When you dream, you're still real. You continue. Life continues. God continues. The world turns, regardless of your attention. The collective dream continues. You can join it or leave it, as you like.

It takes courage to wake up while others sleep. To be the only one awake can feel like a terrible responsibility. It's not. The dreamer is cared for, always. You don't have to do anything. Everyone is safe.

You don't need to tiptoe through the dreams of others. They'll fit you into their dream stories as they like. You're not responsible for their choices. You can be a hero and a villain at the same time. You can be a star, or you can slip by unnoticed.

You're not alone. You're surrounded by dreams and dreamers. The dreams interweave. The dreamers dance. The dream will end when it ends. Then you'll see it for what it is, nothing at all.

Day 87 Package Bombs

So many times we make a choice based on nothing at all. We assume something or we take a chance or we talk ourselves into something or we believe what someone else says. All too often that choice is not a good choice. We choose to believe something with no basis in fact at all, with no foundation, with no real information at all. We let that thing become our reality by choosing to believe in it. It is amazing how sloppily we choose our beliefs and let those beliefs create our reality. A simple distaste for something, a quick decision about how we feel about something, an experience that we didn’t enjoy one time, basically a shot in the dark creates our reality and forms our experiences. How can we be so cavalier with our lives? Is it any wonder that people have dis- ease?

Wouldn’t it be better to not choose anything at all rather than to choose something you know nothing about? Why do we always pick up those mystery packages along our paths? Are we so dissatisfied with what we already have? Yes we are! For most of us, any other package seems more appealing then not having a package at all. We want things. We want diversions and toys and mystery trains and surprises. And what causes this? Desire, dissatisfaction with what we have. After all, what we have now is most likely the result of making choices based on nothing as well. So we go from bad choice to bad choice all our lives. No wonder we have dis-ease.

So how can we end this dis-ease and have a life that does benefit us? By choosing what we believe very carefully. We need to investigate things more thoroughly. We need to consider all choices and their ramifications before we make a choice. We need to be more conscious of what we are doing.  If we have to take days or weeks to understand a situation in order to make a good choice, then take that time because that choice is going to create your reality, maybe even for a long time to come. That package may be a bomb. How are you going to know? By perceiving it. By using your outer and inner senses to perceive that package until you do know what it is. And if you cannot figure out what it is then I suggest you don’t pick it up. Better to walk past fifty pretty packages and not take any of them rather than to pick up one bomb.

Day 24: How Much Time Do You Have?

The Yaqui people of Mexico tell us about four things that are enemies of the Shaman and the fourth one is - that by the time we find the knowledge we seek and the empowerment we need, we are too old to do anything with it. And I find that to be true. So how much time do you have? The Yaquis also tell us that death walks by our left side all the time, close enough to reach out and touch us at any moment. Rather than fear what will indeed happen to all of us, the Shaman learns to walk in this knowledge that he may not be here tomorrow. And so he makes all he can out of today. It is called impeccability. Being all you can be, doing all you can do, loving all you can love and walking as far as you can walk each day.
