Day 13: Vibrational levels.

If you have one cricket chirping that is the vibrational level of cricket. If you have two crickets chirping it is the same vibrational level but an increase in volume. If you have a field of crickets chirping, it is the same vibrational level, the same energy signature of a cricket but the volume is magnified by thousands. And isn't it great to be surrounded by crickets chirping together in the night! We seek out that sound on a hot summer's night, don't we! It is lovely!

If you have one human being offering love that is the vibrational level of one human being. If you have two human beings offering love that is the same vibrational level but an increase in the volume of love. If you have a city of human beings offering love it is the same vibrational level but the volume of love is magnified by thousands.

Wouldn't it be great to be in a city of thousands of human beings offering love? Wow! We would seek that out wouldn't we!

And that is a community of healers. Yes, anyone is attracted to the volume of love. So I have no higher vibrational level than you or anyone else. But I do offer love. And that attracts people. And when I am around another who also offers love, that attracts people even more. And when there is a community of people offering love it becomes a beacon in the night, a place our hearts would seek out.  And this raises the love volume on the planet. If the whole world were filled with people offering love it would be a different place altogether. So is it our job to be human beings offering love? Yes.

And are some repelled by this sound of love? Only those who don't feel worthy of hearing it. Only those who for some reason believe that they are unworthy of it. And that comes from their own belief system.  No one can change your beliefs but you. You cannot change the belief system of another unless they choose it for themselves. I respect your free will choice to believe as you choose to believe even if that belief does not seem to be benefitting you according to my limited view. I am not walking in your shoes to make any legitimate judgment about your beliefs. Only you can judge you.

Day 12: Gaining Confidence

Obviously your spiritual self, your soul, your spirit has more confidence in you than you do consciously! Isn't that something to think about! That there is a part of you, that eternal part of you that knows you can accomplish what you were sent here to do! And if that is true, is not that path worth finding and nurturing? Would you not like to walk the path that you chose for yourself, that you know you can walk, that is unique to you and that will heal and bless the world? I found a lot of encouragement in this awareness. To know that there is a part of me that knows I can do this! That wants me to do this, for the benefit of myself and the entire world.

Think about that. You are connected to this part of yourself. Give this greater part of yourself a welcome and let him or her walk with you. You do not have to do this alone. That greater part of you knows where to go and how to get there. He or She is represented by your totem animals, your guides and elders, teachers, Spirit. Welcome this Higher Self in all its many faces and let it guide you safely every step of the way.

Day 11: Impeccability

There is no one out there living your life. So there is no one out there that you should hold up as a measurement of how you are doing. You know in your heart of hearts if you are doing your best. And your best is all you can do each day.
Doing the best you can do each day in every way is impeccability. Am I saying to become a rocket scientist in order to be impeccable? No! We are human and we all have our foibles and faults. We are never going to be perfect so impeccability is not about being perfect. It is about doing the very best we can every minute of every day.
Do I still struggle with impeccability? I don't struggle with it but I am conscious of it. I know when I have been less than impeccable. I choose to be less than impeccable when I am feeling lazy or tired sometimes. Sure. I recognize it is a conscious decision to be impeccable or not. It is my choice and no one will judge me for it. I am the only one who will judge me for doing my best or less than my best. I don't fret over it but I do try to be impeccable as best I can. And as you become impeccable with the big things, you become aware of smaller places where you can be more impeccable, and smaller places and smaller places and you get down into your thoughts and feelings and you try to be impeccable there as well. And this is where impeccability can cause your thoughts of love to manifest immediately. This is where what you think has an impact on what you manifest almost instantly, be it good or bad. Energy doesn't know good or bad. That is a judgment you make. Whatever you think becomes reality, is made manifest. So, then I have to become impeccable with my thoughts.
But it is not a struggle. It is more of an awareness. I give myself room to screw up because I know I am human. It is OK to screw up. But I am responsible for what I think and I will have the consequences of what I think, be it good or bad and probably have those consequences a bit faster than you will only because I have been aware of my own impeccability much longer than you have. So I am saying it is not a judgment game; it is an awareness. And the main cause of impeccability is knowing that what you do and say and think will manifest itself into your reality. If you want abundance, think abundance.
I want to manifest joy, and happiness, and abundance, and freedom and independence and healing into my life. These are my reasons for trying to be impeccable. It is not hard, but it is a minute to minute awareness. And for a healer, the more impeccable is the healer, the more complete is the healing. A healer is only as good as his own life. A drunk healer would not heal as well as a sober healer. A person who has studied herbs will heal with herbs better than a person who only read a book about herbs. So true!

Day 10: Negative thoughts

A student recently asked me
“I have noticed that I work at trying to be positive everyday, telling myself I can do this and I will accomplish that.  I also repeat positive affirmations during my drive to a job location.  The negative or opposite is always trying to get its way.  To do nothing.  To just don't reply.  Often times the negative voice(s) in my head or whispers in my mind's ear speak to me about a confusing better way to complete a task, just to keep me from the direction I was heading and should have finished.  How do I sort this out? What is going on here?”

In Traditional Shamanism we know that all good is from Creator. Everything Creator creates is wholly good. So all those positive thoughts and energies you feel and encounter are from God. Only man can create negative things. So all the influences and thoughts you encounter that are negative are man made.

Yes we have both around us all the time. Sometimes as men we even create negative things for ourselves. But the shaman sees all those thoughts both good and bad as entities or beings. A thought is a creation. If backed by feeling its like a car that is given gas and becomes a creation, a being, a thought form. It moves along energy lines like comets traveling in space and affects everything it passes near. So not only your own self created negative thought forms but those of everyone else are out here traveling like comets streaking by our consciousness. And we can become magnets through our own energies and attract thought forms to us, both positive and negative.
What feeds a thought form being? Our own energy, our own emotional energy in particular. Emotion is like gasoline to these thought forms. Negative beings feed on negative energy, fear, frustration, feelings of lack. Positive thought forms feed on positive energy, love, joy. So if we are feeling frustrated not only are we feeding our own negative beings but we are attracting the negative beings of other thought forms around us, out here in the limitless energetic world. They are attracted to us like magnets as we feel frustration and they are attracted to that gas we are offering to power them and keep them alive.

Can a thought form run out of gas and cease to exist? Yes. And that is our choice. Nobody can make us feel happy or sad or angry or jealous. We choose to feel those ways ourselves. We are in control of our own lives.

Day 9: One Life Lesson I learned that applies to everything!

1. Know what you want.
2. Know what stands in your way.
3. Know the true strength of what stands in your way.
4. Know if your desire is attainable.
When you know your desire is attainable, that it is what you want, and what stands in the way of your attaining it:
5. Evaluate your best method of attaining your desire.
6. Then follow that course of action, even if you must do it alone.
 7. Go in swiftly, with all your might to claim your desire.

You will not fail!

Day 8: The Moon

My Shaman grandmother and her people were not astrologers but were very capable of using the stars to find their way across vast expanses of snow and tundra.  So she never taught me anything about specific constellations as forces of energy on this planet, but she did teach me this.
My grandmother taught me that when the moon is waxing it is a good time to begin new projects, to do new things, to start new things, to be proactive, to get the car repaired or have dealings with businesses etc.
When the moon is waning, its not a good time for those things. It is a good time to clean up, reorganize, complete, rest, regroup.

If you just do this much you will find a huge difference in your life. Try it and see!
Take the challenge!

Day 7: Shamanic Ceremony

Subconscious and super consciousness: the Shaman of old knew nothing about these psychological terms. And that is why he used ceremony so devoutly. Bathing in rivers, painting of faces, making of voodoo dolls, dressing as animals dancing around fires. All these are ways of connecting to the subconscious and the super conscious. I find in my opinion that ceremonies do more to heal people than all the psychological counseling out there. People can relate to ceremony. They can be a part of a ceremony and through that they can touch the subconscious and superconscious and receive a healing.
I am all for simplicity. I am not into paying thousands of dollars to some would be therapist to be only hurt more by that therapist's misconceptions and mucked up personal reality! Give me a good old fashioned medicine wheel or vision quest.
I prefer to do shamanic healing in person. That physical connection with the eyes of the client is more healing than anything I know. Sucking illness out of a client's body and spitting it into a body of water is so completely confirming to the client. Seeing is believing. And it is all about what the client believes, isn't it. What easier way is there to change a belief, to realize a healing?
Now the other side of the coin is to fake a healing and try to fool the person by putting on a great ceremony. That is a sham, a ruse, a fakir and there are Shamans who do this, too. Does it work? Sometimes. We have seen it work for Christian faith healers and others. But is it the work of a Shaman? Not this one!
If I cannot actually bring healing to someone, then I don't pretend I can. No one human can do everything. That's why there is more than one of us! LOL! And when I bring healing to someone I  am the first one on my knees giving thanks to the God force where that healing comes from.
So be careful! Never offer healing or ceremony for healing unless you believe in your own ability to do so.
