Be a Lake

Be A Lake  (Source Unknown)

The old Master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it.
"How does it taste?" the Masterasked.
"Awful," spat the apprentice

The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake.

The two walked in silence to the nearby lake
and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt into the lake,
the old man said, "Now drink from the lake

As the water dripped down the young man's chin, the Master asked,
"How does it taste?"
"Good!" remarked the apprentice.
"Do you taste the salt?"  asked the Master.
"No," said the young man.

The Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said,
"The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less.
The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same.
But the amount we taste the 'pain'
depends on the container we put it into.
So when you are in pain, the
only thing you can do is to enlarge your sense of things .....

Stop being a glass.

                                          Become a lake!

Day 96 The End of The World

I hate to tell you but the end of the world will never get here. It never has. One thing that never changes is the change inherent in every created thing., no matter whether it is good change or bad change, and that is just based on somebody p[perspective anyway. Since change is a constant in this reality, the every moment is a beginning and an ending. Everything travels on a  circle. Where do you measure the start of a circle?

We just keep going on this linear circle we have named time. It never begins and it never ends and we never begin and we never end. That’s right. We are eternal spiritual begins just having  a short physical life experience here in this body, this temporary vehicle. But did you think you went somewhere else when this body wears out and quits? This life experience is only one of many states of being. When you leave your body you are experiencing another state of being. We are eternally experiencing an unknown number of states of being.

So where are we going? We are not going anywhere at all. Its like being shot off into space in a space capsule. Once launched , there is no way  out. So you have a choice here. You can sit there and worry and feel bad or you can enjoy the adventure. I recommend the Shaman’s Way – enjoy this moment now!

Day 35 What about Ouija Boards

 What about Ouija Boards
An Excerpt from “The Shaman Speaks” by Shaman Elder Maggie
All that we see here is only 5% of the total energies around us; the slowest vibrating energies are the ones we can see with our eyes. These beings live in the other 95% we aren't normally aware of. And that 95% is the part that you are contacting with a Ouija Board.

I think it is important to be aware of this scientific fact, to use your own abilities to become aware of all the energies around you and to know that there are high vibration energetic beings who wish to help you and lower vibration energetic beings who care nothing about you, and even lower vibration energetic beings who wish to deplete your energy. This 95% is very much unknown to us in general and needs to be recognized, studied and respected just as we recognize, study and respect those things we see in our physical world. How very limiting of us to assume that what we see is all there is!

We have so much science now to back this up. We know how the moon affects even our emotions! We can't "see" that energy but we all agree it is there. What else is out there affecting us? From a Shaman's point of view, there is so much more here than just what I see with my eyes. Be aware of it, learn about it safely and carefully. I teach about it so people don't go running in headlong like a lemming leaping off a cliff. It is a fascinating study, not taught in too many places yet, but needs to be approached with awareness of the inherent dangers as there are inherent dangers in this physical world all around us. A Ouija Board is an open invitation to the astral world. I don’t recommend their use whatsoever. There are better, safer ways to travel the astral world.

Day 22 – You are Perfect Just the Way You Are.

I have had the honor to sit at the feet of many of the worlds greatest teachers and one time I asked Lama Zopa Rinpoche, “ What is our main problem?” The lama answered, “It is that we think, "I am the worst person in the world. I am full of hatred, desire, and ignorance." These concepts are totally negative, and you have been carrying around this self pitying view all your life. Cry, cry, Fear, Fear, emotion, emotion. Obsessed with your own shortcomings, you put tremendous pressure on yourself. You punish yourself by regarding yourself as ugly and worthless. Other people may think you are beautiful, but still  you project yourself as ugly.”

“Right now just stop whatever you are doing and visualize a beautiful blue light, which is like clear blue sky all around you. See yourself just being in this clear blue sky color with nothing else but the color blue around you. As you just experience this beautiful blue light notice how your dualistic thoughts start to break down. You no longer believe in those self deprecating dualities. They no longer exist, really. This radiant blue light helps us to touch reality, which is the most important thing in the world. This is no longer an fantasy world of projections and self deprecating thoughts and judgments. This place you are experiencing in this sky blue light is inner and outer reality. There is no self judgment in this place. Can you feel it? See yourself as a being of sky blue. You are perfect just as you are. You only need to realize it. “

Lama Zopa knows this truth and we need to know it too so that we can experience our own natural perfection.
